I have decided to pursue optometry.
I have a 3.8 overall gpa and 3.75 science GPA.
Over 1,500 hours of volunteering (at camps, hospitals, abroad, homeless shelters)
60 hours of clinical research experience
30 hours of shadowing

I'm alittle nervous since I probably wont be able to take my oat until end of august or beginning of September? Do you think I still have a chance ?

Any Advice

As long as you have normal social skills I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Have confidence in yourself since you are selling why you deserve a spot at whatever school you are applying. You'll have job interviews everyday for the rest of your life. Every patient you encounter will be a job interview. You'll be fired & hired everyday, & just hope you're hired more often =).

Laugh and smile. SMILE during the interview since people tend to resonant with someone they want to be around. Do you really believe there are more applicants that have better academic and extracurricular qualifications than you?
