I have a 36P and 3.9 from UW-Madison. Two years volunteering in ER and work/research in lab in the medical school.

The only school I have gotten an Interview from (so far) is UoIowa. I am hoping to get in to at least one of the following:Northwestern, UCLA, Stanford, Wash U., U Penn, (I applied last month and haven't heard back yet).

I thought I had a pretty good chance, but now i'm not so sure. Anybody have any idea?

Thx

ARG!!!!!!!!! D#*#$ IT I wish there was a way to get a warning before opening threads like this.

From now on it would be nice if people would post their stats in the titles of posts like these.

Just curious, not trying to brag or anything...I just want to know if anybody can offer some insight into my situation.

Thanks...again

Your stats are great! Going by numbers alone you should have little problem at least getting interviews.

Although you have great numbers you're applying to very good schools very late in the process. I'm not sure if your chances are so good.

I'm basically in the same boat as you are and I think that we both made the critical mistake of applying late. I just didn't realize that people would be getting their AMCAS submitted in June. And then I spent way too much time doing the secondaries. I grossly underestimated the competitiveness of the medical school application process. I guess this is why there is a significant population of reapplicants and why 10% of people who score above 30 don't get accepted to any medical school. The silver lining is that if either of us or anyone else in this situation has to apply again next year, we'll know not the make the mistake of submitting applications at on a leisurley schedule.
