I understand that getting an interview means that the school is more interested in you and wants to get to know you better but what are the chances of getting admitted to the school after receiving an interview?

I think it all depends on the school. There's an excel sheet out there that has the % of interviews that get acceptances. Not sure how accurate that is but just something to look at

It depends of the school, if you are in state or out of state, how late in the cycle is the interview, etc. Normally you have 40-50% chances of getting in the school you are interviewing. Some schools have as low as 12% chances of offering you an acceptance others have as high as 98%.

Thank you, but how accurate are these stats?

They're as accurate as they can be, because they've been published by the ADEA, from information that schools supply them. They are somewhat older though, using stats from two years ago.

I'd imagine it has gotten a bit more competitive and # of applicants + interviews would increase.

For example, I know one of the schools on the xls has ~450interviews offered total but school stated they plan to interview ~900 students this cycle.

same chance of a dropping a nickle to see which side you'll get.
