I was wondering what are my chances of IM for comlex 1 460s second attempt.

1: There's an official WAMC IM thread in the IM subforums.
2: It's way too early to worry about this.
3: You should take Step 1. Study during third year if you have to.
4: You should take Step 1.
5: After taking Step 1, study and take Step 2.
6: You can match a non-desirable community program.

I don’t know that 460 on a second attempt at COMLEX bodes well for a helpful Step 1 score, especially without yet another dedicated study period. If studying for Level 2 goes well, adding on Step 2 might be a good idea (take practice tests first).

That said, I think OP can match IM if he/she applies broadly enough, without being geographically or “tier” picky.

Right... a 460 second attempt shouldn't be touching USMLE.

Small community programs in not deserable areas are open but a fail plus 460 won’t let you be picky.

Be careful from those saying take step one. Avoid it unless you are safely passing NBMEs >210 plusish on several but chances are not good w a comlex fail but it is possible
