Greetings. I was curious as if anyone knows how likely candidates, who were not given interviews among the first wave but given later in the cycle, are to match at that program. Basically, I want to know how concerned should I be if I am being given consideration by very good programs who didn't invite me as part of the the first wave. Thoughts?

was ranked to match at a top 10 program after bring offered only their last 2 dates late in the cycle (a month after first wave went out). varies widely from program to program...good luck!

Yeah it doesn't matter. Waves could be certainly due to your competitiveness, but they could also be due to what region you're from, or alphabetical order for all we know.

Doesn't matter. If you got an interview, you are academically qualified and have a good shot. Like the previous poster said, could be any number of reasons, including competitiveness, who knows. I interviewed on the very last date of the program I matched at (and ranked number 1).
