Can anyone give a quick yes or no to the programs in NYC that would be likely to look at me for an interview vs. screen me out? Jacobi, NYU, Downstate, Sinai, NY Pres, Yale, St. Lukes, UMDNJ, Robert Wood Johnson. Or any programs that might be a good match for someone with my stats?
I go to a U.S. school in the area and plan to do two away rotations. I have been honoring clinically, but never seem to get it together to reach the Honors mark on standardized tests.

Step 1: 228
1st and 2nd year: a few high pass, no honors
3rd year: Surgery: High Pass, Medicine: In Progress, Neuro: Honors, Peds: High Pass, OB/GYN: High Pass

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

And RWJ, Yale, UMDNJ aren't in NYC

What you really should be asking your advisor, who knows you, is how many schools you should be applying to. If you want to match in New York apply to all 12 (or whatever the number is) if you sorta want to go apply to 5 or six.

Thanks for the link, it was reassuring. And I meant to type NYC area, not NYC.

Anyone have any comments about St. Lukes?

search the reviews. SLR has been reviewed and discussed over the years a number of times.

Good luck.
