Hoping to ask for advice...

Applied to ~30 schools (huge range, NY resident), NO INTERVIEWS, graduating from ivy league with 3.2 cGPA, similar or slightly higher sGPA maybe 3.3 (took some additional science courses last year, got 4.0), MCAT 32T (13P, 9B, 10V), re-took with 31R (10P, 10B, 11V)...

What are my chances for this cycle or what can I do between now and next cycle (whether that is June 2010 or 2011) -- I did all pre-reqs so post-bach seems gratuitous, what about masters programs?

Forgot to include...

Volunteer/Shadow/Research at a hospital for ~3 years now, should have >5 publications and lots of experience at conferences and stuff

Did you apply with 3.2 overall/~3.3 science or was it lower when you applied?

Have you taken more classes after that and gotten A's? Also, when did you apply? June or did you apply really late?
Unfortunately I stopped after last spring (2009)- I took biochem, molec bio, and another bio course. At this point, assuming re-application, I am taking two classes this spring (immuno and some other biology course - as these were the weaker grades in my transcript).

I applied to AMCAS early July, secondaries submitted by mid september/october-- was this too late??

Submitting in September is not early, not late but sending them in October is late.

Apart from an SMP, consider boosting your ECs. Sure you have volunteer experience, but maybe more community-based non-clinical experience - such as homeless shelter, refugee family service organizations, or tutor low-income children. Once you find this non-clinical, community-based expereince, then take on a leadership position after a while, such as volunteer coordinator or program coordinator. Basically find something you are passionate about and shows you can relate to people beyond the hospital/lab setting. This would make you a more well-rounded candidate.

WAYYY TOO LATE for someone with your stats. Next time, submit AMCAS in the first week and complete secondaries within a week of receiving them. I applied really early in this way and it made a HUGE difference.
