i have a cgpa of 3.5, but a sgpa of 3.7, including numerous upper division biology courses. my mcat score was 24 (p-9, b-9, v-6, ws-o). i have about 150 hrs of volunteer service at a local hospital and an additional 70 hrs with habitat for humanity. i also am a tutor for underprivelege kids. however i do not have any research nor any leadership experience. opinions welcomed. thanks

Zero chance for allopathic with a 24.

You can try osteopathic and hope for the best.

If you retake the MCAT, you'll be much more competitive

I think you have a good chance at the mid- to less-selective DO schools. The VS of 6 will limit you at some schools, but it's possible to get an acceptance despite that. You'll need to do some physician shadowing, and probably it's a good idea to get a DO LOR as some of the DO schools require it.

Did you know that SDN has a forum dedicated solely to Pre-Med Osteopathic students?

I know someone with that exact score who got accepted into a rural primary care track program. Allopathic. It is possible if you stand out as someone who will commit themselves to practicing primary care in a rural area to become accepted to those programs. I am not sure how many schools have these, though, and you would have to be in-state.
