Hello everyone,
I am currently a Biochemistry major with a 3.65 Science GPA and 3.70 Overall GPA. The degree plan that I am currently following is a Fast Track (5 Year) plan that is combined with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. I am 60% finished with this Degree Plan and I am a 2nd Semester Sophomore.
I am really happy with my major and I would really love to go with it the whole five years, the only problem is that I'm afraid of the tougher classes that I have to take such as Biophysical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Fluid Mechanics, etc. and am worried that those classes could drop my GPA.
Outside of this plan, I also have a great passion for Politics and Political Science. I was very interested to Double Major (Only 7 Classes Needed) and give a twist in my application somehow. If I do a M.S. plan, I will have plenty of time in my 5th year during Winter Intersession and Summer to get my Double Major. Should I follow through with this plan?
I am basically at a crossroads, my options are:
1) Opt out of the B.S., M.S. and opt into B.S. in Biomedical Engineering.
2) Opt into B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and B.S. in Political Science.
3) Get a B.S. in Biochemistry, M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, and B.S. in Political Science.
I would greatly appreciate some input on my situation.
Thanks!
