Hey guys -

So I had a relatively rough start to my undergrad due to specific circumstances, but then following my second year... I worked hard to bring up a faltering GPA. I ended up graduating with an overall 3.3 GPA and lower sGPA. I have tons of shadowing and work experience...

I have been applying for the past 5 years and spoke to several schools and almost all of them recommended some sort of a post-bacc or masters. While out of school I have worked full-time as a Dental Assistant for a couple years and have been working on and off as a Dental Tech for over 8 years. For the past year I have had experience working as the Office Manager at the same Dental Lab. Over the years away from academia, I have developed some meaningful relationships with many dentists and have excellent LORs. Anyway, so I finally started my M.S. degree last fall in Molecular & Cell Biology and have maintained a 4.0 thus far.

I have one more semester to go and just wanted to know what my odds are for the next application cycle. Btw, this cycle my interview was waived at Maryland because I won't have completed my masters before Aug. 1st (due to class availability).

This was my 5th year applying and I finally got in. I am in the middle of a 1 year masters at Midwestern. I got into Midwestern in Janurary. My overall GPA is higher than yours but your DAT scores are better than mine, so I would say after you finish you masters you should have a good chance, just keep that GPA.
