I am a semester away from finishing my medical school pre-requisites and i have a 3.98 because I made a B+ in New Testament Survey which is a religion class. So i have a 4.0 science major. I'm about to take the MCAT and I was wondering what you think I would have to make to get accepted into any medical school in Texas which are not top tier medical schools without finishing the degree? I have played college baseball every year also and my dad, aunt, and uncle are all doctors which I don't know if that helps. My sister did not graduate and she is in a top pharmacy school right now. Thanks guys! Your responses will be greatly appreciated!

Pharmacy schools will accept with completing the degree, med schools won't.

EDIT: I should qualify that. It won't happen unless your parent is the dean or someone else with so much pull they can basically do whatever they want.

I read on the schools websites that as long as you have completed 90 semester hours, you can still be accepted.

I believe that there are a few medical schools that accept without a degree but on an extremely rare basis.

What is claimed and what is reality is very different. This is a perfect example. Many schools claim all you need is 90 credits, but the statistics show the 99% have a degree. The remaining 1% or either in a BS/MD program, or have parents that are the dean. It doesn't happen in med school. They are going to require a degree.
