11 US seniors with your score range applied in 2007. 2 Matched, 9 did not.

Possible to match? Yes.
Likely, no.

I'd shoot for >250 on step 2.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. It sucks that step 1 went so poorly for you.

1. What should I make on Step2? - as high as you can, take it early so that schools get your score by the time you interview
2. Will my step1 score completely hinder me from getting an interview? - at many places, yes. unfortunately
3. What else do I need to do? - do 2, maybe 3 away rotations if you can. don't rotate at programs that have a reputation of putting emphasis on numbers as this may be a waste of your time

good luck to you

I'd shoot for >250 on step 2.

Even with that, I think it's unlikely to work out, given the mediocre pre-clinical grades.

I would recommend that the OP seriously consider focusing on a different field. He/she can probably get into something less competitive. But if he/she fails to match the first time around and can't scramble into something, the chances of even being able to do FP or IM will be significantly reduced.

Mediocre pre-clinical grades aren't a huge deal.

That Step 1, however, is.

I'd second the advice to get >250 on Step 2 early in 4th year if not late 3rd year.
