Hey guys I recently got my MCAT score back and I will be applying this august to start in 2012. I got a 25 MCAT and have a 3.35 overall GPA and a 2.9 science GPA. I have over 100 hours of shadowing and many hours of service and leadership. If you could let me know on my chances of getting in to DMU, Midwestern, or Western that would be a huge help. Thanks!

Assuming your LOR are good you wil get in everywhere you apply to. I got in everywhere I applied to and I had a 3.1/22.

I'm worried about my science GPA, will that be a huge problem

Your sgpa is on the low side. Your MCAT is a bit over the average. You should be fine if you apply early and have good LORs.

You may get asked during interviews why your sgpa was so low though, so have a good answer for that. I'm sure you'll be OK though.

I had the same science GPA and slightly higher overall GPA as you and I got accepted to all the schools i interviewed at. They didn't even question me about it so dont worry too much about it. Your MCAT is also a bit higher than average so apply and see what happens!

science GPA will be a issue if the OP wants scholarships. SGPA should b e>3.0 for scholarship elgibility

I'm not necessarily worried about scholarships, that would be nice I just want to see if I'm going to have the grades to get in. I just want to get into school
