What happens if you pay the deposit on Dec 15 and then change your mind and decide on a different school. Can you do this, is there absolutely a time when your answer is "set in stone"?

I would think that you can change your mind whenever you want. People drop out all the time and others will take their spot. But I am not sure about getting your money back. On the form from my school, it says it is a non-refundable deposit. But if you called them on it, I don't know. Maybe you could complain loudly and get it back
