Hi! I'm planning to take the DAT a year from now, and I know that it might be super early to be preparing for it, but I heard that there are going to be changes in the DAT starting from 2015. I'm especially concerned with the changes in the math section, because according to the planned changes, statistics will be on the test and I have NEVER taken statistics in my whole life. I only took calculus and I thought that taking calculus would be enough to do well on the original DAT QR section (probably not, but I would still think that calculus is more relevant to the current QR section than statistics).
One article I read said that although changes will be implemented in 2015, the questions will simply be pilot questions (experimental) so that they would not count towards the actual score. But then again, in the most recent DAT newsletter, it says " Items will be added in the following areas: data analysis, interpretation, and sufficiency; quantitative comparison; and probability and statistics. These changes will be implemented no sooner than 2015." So I'm really confused. Does anyone know the exact answer to this?
If I have to study statistics for the new QR section, I would probably have to do it now because I don't have space in my schedule next year to fit in statistics...
