Hi all,

I was under the impression my academic email would be active for longer. Unfortunately I received an email that my .edu email will be deactivated 8/1/19. I emailed the IT department regarding an extension but I have also updated my AMCAS email to my professional email. Despite this I continue to get emails at my original AMCAS .edu email. In the event I am not granted an extension should I email the schools now? My fear is that we're in the swing of things and it will get buried, which is problematic considering the fact I've only received ~half of my secondaries.

Thanks in advance.

Update AMCAS / resubmitting is step one. However, if your application has already been transmitted to schools then they have your old email on file. I think you need to email each school asking them to update your email of record.

Sometimes school portals will have an option on them to update your email, if they don’t you should contact each school and update them with your new email
