So, I am currently applying this cycle and have a few interviews lined up. After graduation, I began working for a company that is not healthcare related so I could keep up with bills and expenses. I had exhausted my search for jobs in healthcare and had to take what I could get, but now, there is hardly any work to be done, and I find my self doing things very unrelated to my position to get through the day. However, yesterday I was offered a job working as a scribe for Pulmonary group (I did not apply for it - a family friend who is the manager called and asked if I wanted the job) and they would only need me to work until June. Of course I'd rather have this job, and I'm far more interested in the work. My question is simply: will Admissions Committees look unfavorably at my application if I leave my current job after working only 3 months?

I wouldn't be leaving on bad terms - maybe just some people frustrated that I stayed only 3 months.

Sorry for the long post...

As long as you're making enough dough to pay for your bills and expenses... no one cares. Scribes get paid crap so keep that in mind

The scribe job makes more than I currently make. Just don't want anyone to contact my current employer and have him express any frustrations.

IF anyone would contact your employer is to verify hours worked.
Gotcha... I was totally honest about my hours, however, I included future hours that I planned to work until June. Do you know if it's common for them to contact employers?

I don't. I have heard on this forum that not often unless something is suspicious or something. ADCOMS could give you a better answer on that.
