Was wondering if I get some of that expert SDN advice?? I am just finishing up my intern year and realize that I went into the wrong the speciality, there are several openings for PGY-2 out there after they complete an internship at a ACGME approved program, the questions:
1. I already signed a contract for next year - -Am I bound by that or do people just break those, like quiting a job?? I really don't want to wait and go through the match, then I'll already have 2 years down and I might as well just finish then apply......
2. How do I approach my PD - I need his approval to talk other programs, I have a feeling he's going to be pissed and if I don't get a spot this may be an uncomfortable next year or two.......
3. Anyone have any personal stories to share about ditching one residency and jumping on board at another??
