Hello!
I recently left my residency in Psychiatry at the end of my PGY-3 and I'm looking in to reapplying to Pathology. I don't want be a psychiatrist and I was having performance problems.

Does anyone have any advice on how to go about gaining some relevant experience and building a decent application?
Thank you!

There are a lot of similar threads in the path forum over the years that answer your question with good advice.

You’ll find a spot somewhere

1. Do some rotations in surgical pathology.
2. Tell everyone you LOVE pathology
3. Tell program directors how much you love to gross and pull slides for attendings for tumor boards.
4. Apply
5. Match somewhere since bar is set low.
6. Get a job in who knows where, USA.
