Chapman 2016 summer?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Besides the confirmation email saying they received my PTCAS app, I have heard absolutely nothing back from Chapman if that makes you feel better.

Same boat as you. I emailed back in June and all they said to me was that my application was under review.

To my knowledge Chapman only notifies candidates accepted into the program. They wait list and do not notify. You will have to call in. This happened to me because I applied "late" to the program. While they have rolling admission, they do have an actual preferred date of application submission. This was not advertised when I applied years ago. They also did not do interviews (has that changed?) so they let people in based on numbers, which in my opinion, does not always yield the best clinical professionals. If you applied beyond the preferred date then you most likely have been waitlisted. I got the impression that it is first come first served at Chapman provided you meet some academic threshold.

Thank you @WarriorPT for your input!
What is this "preferred date" that you mentioned?
Their admission is due Nov 15 this year... does this mean we need to submit applications the same date as early decision applicants in order to have a chance? Or do they prefer applications to be sent in on the first month PTCAS is open?

And you are correct about holding zero interviews.

And you arw correct about not notifying the waitlisted/rejected. I recently heard back from them saying that I am waitlisted, and when I asked if I should hold sending my app this year they told me to hold sending in the applications (considering what you said about preferred submission date, I guess I'm screwed this cycle as well).
I'm at a loss. I think I should consider myself as out of the accepted pool and look elsewhere.

By far, Chapman has been the worst at updating applicants and hanging applicants on the cliff -.-
It's even more disappointing since Chapman was my first choice (sigh)

wait so they've already accepted their class? Because I haven't heard anything either and I put my application in in September.

September during the 2014--2015 PTCAS cycle? Or this recent September 2015-2016 PTCAS Cycle?
If it's the latter, I don't think they'll send out any news until December or starting next year. If it's the former, then, yes, the Fall 2015 has already been filled and started. However, the Summer 2016 cohort has not been filled yet.

I'm a bit confused with their application timeline as well because the Summer 2016 applications were open since the last cycle (PTCAS 2014- 2015)... and they're accepting Summer 2016 cohort this cycle again.

Has anyone from the previous cycle heard anything about the summer cohort yet? Any acceptances?
I probably ended up confusing some people.. my apologies!

I will be attending their info session to ask some questions and hopefully get some concrete answers from them.

Disregard my previous post.
I received an email from the admissions that they are reviewing summer cohort applicants from last application cycle and this cycle, so your application is probably being reviewed at this time.

I applied last year and received nothing yet, so it makes me think the long delay was there to wait for this year's Summer applicants' as well. I hope this answered your question and put your mind at ease.

I received an email, too, saying my application is still under review.

One of the admissions got back to me and said the acceptance letters will head out soon... I'm hoping next month or so???
