Please tell me what you think of my chance to be accepted by Chapman and CSU Long Beach.
Cummulative GPA: 3.6
Pre-req GPA: 3.77
GRE: V:152 Q:148 AW: 4.5
I am not confident with my Quantative score. Should I retake the GRE in 4 weeks before the deadline (of Chapman)

Thank you!!!

I applied to both those schools last cycle with slightly higher GPAs and GRE scores and I was waitlisted at Chapman and rejected from CSULB. I would try to retake the GRE and get the quantitative score to above 150 if possible.

How many hours of volunteering did you have?

Thank you! I'm thinking about re-take the GRE too...It's painful... 🙁
Would you mind sharing your stats?

Sure 🙂 These are this cycle's stats. Last cycle I had very similar GPAs, the first 2 GRE scores, and the 100 pediatrics and 100 outpatient. Good luck!
University: California State University
Major: Kinesiology
Overall GPA: 3.86
Pre-Req GPA: 3.7-3.8 depending on the school
GRE First time: 147Q, 150V, 3.5AW
GRE Second time: 151Q, 153V, 5.0AW
GRE Third time: 145Q, 156V, 4.0AW
Hours: 500 outpatient hours and 100 pediatric hours

I read on CSULB's website that every try on the GRE has to be reported and that all tries need to make their minimum. I'll try to find a link

Really... i'll email n ask them about this because I don't see this info amywhere on their website. Btw they do have their strongly recommended minimum of 150 both V n Q

Sorry, they must have removed it from their page. I remember they used to allow only one retake per course also. Better for us for the GRE tries though.

Yes all of my prerequisites were done at the time I was applying. I am hoping for better luck this cycle. 🙂

I know that Chapman requires you to report all of your GRE scores to them, but it doesn't say if they hold it against you if you take it more than once. Some schools take the best from each section, look at improvement, etc. It really is up to each program how much the GRE influences their decision.

Hi,
Just want to make some updates: got accepted by Chapman today. Very surprising because I expected to know next year... I did re-take my GRE and got 159 V 156 Q and 4 AW. Good luck everyone 🙂
Only with 120 hours outpatient and 40ish hours inpatient

Wow that was fast since applications were due 11/15! Congratulations and hopefully I will hear back from them soon. 🙂

I just emailed to ask them in the morning if they received my GRE score and in just a couple hours, I got the acceptance email.
Good luck to you!
