I was invited to Chatham for their interviews on November 15, which is wonderful, but I am unsure if I will be able to go. I live about 8 hours from Pittsburgh, and I can't request off from work right now to attend (I work weekends). I still want to be considered, but the RSVP only has two options - attend the November 15th interview, or withdraw your application. What should I do?!

I don't know what your weekend job is that won't allow you to take off for your grad school interview, but you have to think of what is more important in the long run. going to that interview or working that weekend.

I am sort of in a similar situation. I am interviewing in Nashville on Friday the 14th for the OTD program at Belmont. Then I received my offer to interview with Chatham on the 15th. I live in PA, so it is going to be a crazy few days of driving.

But think of it this way, this is for your career. This interview could literally change your life. I know I couldn't turn it down.

Good luck! I hope I get a chance to meet you at the interviews 🙂

Hey, for those of you who have interviews how long was it after they said they were reviewing your application did they invite you for an interview?

It took about 24 hours to get an invitation from Chatham.

Aww 🙁 I guess I didn't get one then

I wouldn't lose all hope yet. Maybe try contacting them to make sure they have everything they need?

Where else did you apply for, 7461?

This is my 3rd year applying so I'm applying to a bunch of schools all over. I hope to get into a school on the west coast, but I just want to be accepted by one of these rolling admissions schools so I don't have to worry too much about getting into a school. Good luck at your interview 🙂

I applied to seven schools in five different states. Figured I would just see what happened and who would be interested. It would be really nice to just get into a program now and not have to worry so much about it. I have three interviews right now and should hear back from them by the end of the year. I am just hoping that someone will decide I am worthy of an admissions offer.

Thank you very much, I appreciate it! I need all the good vibes I can get! 😀

Congratulations! That's awesome! 🙂 What are the other two schools you're interviewing at? I'm trying to apply to schools in 10 different states. But I think I'll hear from most of them by March or so of next year :nailbiting:UGH! the waiting game

Belmont University in Tennessee and Murphy Deming in Virginia! They are both OTD programs. I have decided this is the route I would like to pursue since that is the way the field is moving. Its entirely frightening, but I think I could handle it.

I would really like to end up in Virginia because its somewhat close to my family. A lot closer than Tennessee anyhow!

To be completely honest, I was surprised that I got interviews because my grades and GRE scores are average. I guess I was lucky to find places that look at you holistically.

Would you mind posting your stats?

I ran into this same problem, but with having another grad school interview on November 15th. I called Chatham and they are allowing me to attend the regular admissions interview on January 31st. 🙂

Whoaa Chatham was way late with mine! I received the invite today (verified on the 6th), and Katie called me from admissions to apologize for the late notice but encouraged me to attend this one. Luckily I live near Philly so a drive out to Pitt isn't so bad...

Good luck to everyone. I guess I'll see some of you guys there!

I am a 1st year in the Chatham MOT program. I know how stressful the interview/application process can be. If you have any questions please let me know, I would love to help!

How do you like the program so far? And how long did it take to hear back after your interview? I had the interview on November 15th, and I am so anxious to hear back!

My OTCAS was verified 11/16, had anyone heard from them regarding the January interview?

I don't think they start inviting until a couple of weeks before! I would think you would get an invite near the end of December.

rach528 I got the email about the January interview this morning! This is my first school to hear back from (didn't do early admissions), so I'm super anxious/excited!

Ah so exciting! The interview questions are about as basic as you can get. Why OT, etc. I really think they just want to see your personality and how you interact and compose yourself. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm excited to attend in the fall! Good luck!! 🙂
