Momma Cozzi frozen pizzas are great. I forget what they call it, but aldi hot sauce (in the style of Frank's Redhot) is also delicious. I just hate how they don't take credit, since I almost never carry cash on me. I have gotten to the checkout and been screwed over by that before.

They take debit cards. 👍

And the hot sauce is "Burman" brand. This hypothetical Burman bloke makes some tasty condiments.

I never use my debit card unless I know I'm heading to the bank. With direct deposit, that happens very rarely. If I have it with me, I might as well get the cash and pay the lightening fast checkout person.

That bottle doesn't look like the one I have. I'm not back at my apartment for 2 weeks, so I cannot verify what I have. Could be just different packaging, who knows.

My monthly expenses with credit card is $300-400 x 12 = $4800. I get 3% cash back in 75% of transaction. So, every year I get more than ~$100 in free money. Why do people still pay with debit card forgoing the free money? That just boggles me...

Last time I went to a bank was 2 years ago. My direct deposit goes straight to Ally.com earning 0.95% interest. All checks I get, I deposit them using a scanner.

Because Aldi doesn't accept credit cards. They only accept debit cards with a pin number. It's cheaper for them. You run into the same issue at Costco.

No Aldi in CA. We might get them next year.

Woodman's also only accepts debit. They are a WI/IL grocery chain which carries almost everything.

can you send me the file please 🙂 . I gain 20 lbs after working 3 months and eat all the bad food like pasta after I get home from work ( no time to eat while working though )

Almost every lunch I have a turkey sandwich with thin wheat bread.

yep, I almost forgot about sandwiches - super cheap!

from Target -

loaf of wheat bread - ~$1.49
buffalo chicken slices - ~$2.75
mayo - $3
mixed salad - $1.49

lunch for a week: under $9...that's less than $2/meal 👍

Since the word "healthy" is in the title, I hope you're not going through a jar of mayo each week. 😱 You can also probably do better than something ultra processed like sliced buffalo chicken. A whole boneless breast with hot sauce on it works well. But in any case, yes, packing your own lunch is ridiculously inexpensive compared to buying something out.

no, lol...that mayo should last months! I just don't usually eat a sandwich with just bread, meat, and veggies...

and I'm finding that meat is the more expensive part of any meal...I'll have to start getting some boneless breasts and cooking it at home

not healthy, but you want cheap?

holy food stores...I have so much leftover turkey, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy to last me half a week...
