Currently working full time in San Jose SFSU, Hayward and Berkley Extension too far/expensive and I don't really want to quit my job for them SJSU is pretty much closed off besides open university although I am poking around to see if I missed anything.

Any states with really affordable tuition costs for do it yourself post baccs or any options I am forgetting in Nor Cal/California?

THanks~

What classes do you need? Pre-reqs or advanced science?

You can try Evergreen Valley or Mission college for pre-reqs. As for advanced science courses, the only options are the open universities(CSUEB, SFSU, SJSU) and Berkeley extension.

I'm in exactly the same boat...decided to suck it up and go with Berkeley extension because I had already finished all of the pre-reqs (I was going for gpa repair, not career changing). I've been pretty happy thus far!

OP, did you ever decide on anything? I'm in a similar position. My inclination right now is to take 2 Berkeley Extension classes (still trying to decide which ones) and 2 more at a CC (probably stats and a sociology) for financial reasons. I also find it annoying that Extension classes do not count for in-school deferment for undergrad student loans, which is another reason I want to do 2 CC classes.

The drive to Belmont is going to be annoying with traffic but we don't have many choices here. If you can get into SJSU Open University classes, it seems good but I hate that you can't pre-register. You can only show up to the first class and hope to get a seat/registration number from the professor. I'm not taking chances like that. Plus, I think the Berkeley name would look better than SJSU.
