cheapest materials for the DAT

Hi guys, I'm new here but I've already seen dozens of posts about the best study materials and such....Everyone is recommending 5-6 different study resources and quite frankly I'm on a budget * 🙁 broke college kid 🙁 *. Which resources will give me the most bang for my buck? (please keep it to like 2 or 3)


Oh and is Barrons DAT completely worthless? (The 2nd edition one with the cd). I havent really seen anyone mention it, but I have a friend that has the edition from a sibling that she can give me for free.

at least get the destroyer and crackPAT
barrons won't hurt you but I heard too many errors.

destroyer and crackPAT are good question bank but they are not practice exams.

Chad's videos are amazing for gen chem and ochem... I heard the math videos are pretty good too... haven't heard too much about the bio videos yet? but it's only $40 for a 1 month subscription to all of the DAT videos

Chad's Videos for the chemistry sections are a steal. I think you'll find that most people on this forum will say that his videos are a must and I agree.

The AP Bio Cliffnotes are also a commonly suggested resource. That's pretty cheap if you look on amazon.com

best 3 you can get.. can prob get Cliffs for like $20, Destroyer is like $150 on their site but can maybe find way on ebay for a little cheaper, and Chads Videos will vary on how many months prescription you want (1 month would be just enough to go through all the videos and make notes but not if you want to go back after and rewatch some)

it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to catch up on orgo and chem which you haven't touched for a couple of years i would start with Chad's videos which are about $40 for a month for pat get at least the 5 test version of CDP which is $100 (you can always upgrade for $30 if you need 5 more tests. For full test practice I would recommend topscore for $50ish and if you want a lot of practice tests i would go with datqvault which offers 10 tests for each section except PAT for $100

Free/second hand:

you can always go on craigslist/kijiji and find someone whos selling a used copy of KBB and destroyer
You can get cliffs ap bio for free by typing in "cliffs ap bio .pdf" in google
