I went on delta and I was quoted $155 for a one-way from SF to LA. Anyone ever get something cheaper? Where can I look?

southwest...although I think then you have to fly out of oakland, but that is really not that bad considering it would save you like $100...you could take bart to the coliseum and then the bus from the coliseum to the airport...i think that is how that works

previous post is exactly what I was going to say:

Southwest.com ..... take $2 AirBART to BART station and take the SF/Daly City or SF/Colma BART to the city for about $2.55. It is pretty easy to do... I have done it dozens of times.

I just looked at Southwest, and they have a special for $46 each way from Oak to LAX with 7 day advance purchase ($109 total with taxes and fees and all of that junk.) I would highly reccomend flying southwest, you can't beat the quality for the price. I flew SW to SF from southern CA, and despite the bad weather my flight was actually early!

yep, every1's said the same thing, but just wanted to reiterate

if you are flying ANYWHERE in california (or anywhere else southwest flies), your best bet will 99% of the time ALWAYS be with southwest. unless for some reason you HAVE to fly into SFO. can't imagine why... oakland is much more connected via public transportation

of course their specials arent quite as great as before right now. i think its something like 40-some bucks one way, i used to do $34 one way back and forth all the time. cheaper than driving actually.

A friend of mine recently flew from LA to Oakland, and it only cost $34. <img border="0" alt="[Wowie]" title="" src="graemlins/wowie.gif" />

Southwest will definitely give you the best deals. You should find another city (besides SF) to fly out of. I usually fly out of San Jose (you can take the Caltrain to get there).
