So did people that had a status change receive an email letting them know it changed to Check back December 1? Or do you just check it throughout the day haha?
 
Wouldn't it be easiest to do what the school is asking? Check back Dec 1st. It's 3 days away, all this crazy stress over the real meanings of the "check back dec 1st"

Yeah, if it was only 3 days away then I would agree. But it's 4, and 4 is too long

Well he/she is figuring in the day long food coma tomorrow. So that takes away one day. Then you need to figure that black Friday and the biggest shopping weekend of the year will just fly by.
 
Now aadsas is closed till dec 1 so I wonder if there will be no more portal updates then?

I was thinking that was probably just site support. The whole updating thing is probably automated.

Sometime last night or early this morning. It hadn't changed last night, but it was different this morning when I woke up and checked.

mine are in alphabetical order by state… could just be coincidence though!
 
So if other people who have interviewed at a school have their status changed to 'check back December 1st' and yours stays at 'invited for interview'... I'm assuming that's a bad thing?
 
None of mine has changed from 'invited for interview' to anything else....
 
I heard that if ur second toe is longer than ur big toe your in! Also if ur first name starts with a vowel and they change ur status while ur reading a word that begins with the same vowel you get your second choice. That's just what my ex girlfriends ex best friend told me!

Do you know anything about Rutgers now using 'check back' status update?
I researched little bit on this from last year thread, and it seems that no one had 'check back' status last year.
People who had "invited for interview" were accepted and "under review" were rejected or waitlisted. Just so nervous about what this new 'check back' status means.. 🙁

It means to check back on December 1. Stop trying to look into it so much guys...
 
I'm nervous... NONE of my interview schools statuses changed cept for usc (they told us everyone's would change after interview)
 
Just realized mine all say Dec 2, not Dec 1.
Edit: that's just the mobile portal that says Dec 2. Weird. Why is it different?

i heard schools send adcoms out on black friday to see how committed a student you are and if you're out shopping between midnight and 4am they know you have what it takes for dental school and will accept you on the spot. At least that's what happened to me yesterday

Last year the day everyone found out was Dec. 2. I think the Portal version doesn't have all the kinks worked out yet so Id stick with desktop version.

My heart skipped two beats when I saw two of the schools I interviewed at on the first page of this thread. This was before I realized that it was last year's thread!! Ya'll cant be doing things like this! :nono:

What school are you referring to Bucknutter?
 
Which schools changed the status to check back dec 1?? (Did Minnesota and UDM changed?)
 
As far as my application is concerned, Kentucky and Louisville have not changed.

I was told during my interview that I would hear back on the 1st. Not sure why it would be Decemeber 2nd and not the 1st.
