yes. 🙂

OK OK. just don't forget to apply early since they have a tiered system. Earlier you are, the higher tier you are. It's kind of like free points for getting your appl done early. Good luck. I know I will need it.

thank you eddie
good luck to u too.

You need to work on your GPA since admissions in CA schools are mostly based on GPA and there is no PCAT.

hi,
i am right now a pre-pharmacy student at UCONN but unfortunately not going to get into UCONN so i have to find other collages...
I have 3.3 math and science GPA and have around 50 or 60 hours of Hospital Pharmacy volunteering, i was president of Chemistry Club at UCONN and received Academic Award my Freshmen year....

thank you very much for your time and effort
best of luck

With these stats, I'm sure you'd be a competitive applicant. The key is to apply early on (1st deadline is July 1st) and to get your foot into the interview. It's great that you have lots of activities because that's what UOP likes to see. Not only do they wanna see students that can keep up with a competitive curriculum (+16 units), but they also wanna see that you're likely to be involved in the many student associations at UOP. During my interview, that's basically all they asked about-- my experiences with clubs, pharm tech work, etc. Keep up your GPA and your activities! Best wishes on the application process! 🙂

thank you imprecous for the info. We should hang out sometimes, i go to UOP (undergrad).

Jay, i cant really help u on finding the easiest school for pharmacy cuz i dont have that many experience in applying and stuff like that and i dont know any schools. The only thing i know is that my coucelor told me, if u have low GPA, get a bachlor and do lots of activities and get lots of experience to compensate. Also do really good on interview. I think your grades are pretty good.

I don't know why all these people are pumping you up with false hope. Your stats are, at best, extremely marginal. You have only a very slim chance at even the most permissive of pharmacy schools, and even then you really shouldn't get your hopes up for admission.

The spelling and grammar in your post indicates to me that you are poorly educated in the basics. If your verbal communication skills are equally as bad, you have no chance of getting past an interviewer.

Best bet: choose another profession.

i think you should get off your high horse.

Yea, i blame the keyboard.

I normally dont have that many grammar errors, but since im only chatting, i dont care. Its cool though!!

I talk to some friends of mine. One got rejected from an easy pharmacy school and she had a GPA of 3.9 and the other one got accepted to UCSF with a 3.4.

its like GPA doesn't have any correlations.

I think they're more into a well-rounded person.

The girl with the 3.9 GPA didnt have that many units, and plus she doesn't even have a bachlor of science degree. She did some community service, but none of them pertains to pharmacy.

The person with a 3.4 got a masters in economics and he worked as a pharmacy clerk for 2 years.

yayayya the advisor said, i will be reaching senior status real soon, and im not even a senior woot woot!!!

jumps around!!

pharm school here i go, i hope!!!

UCSF wants a BS at least when you matriculate i think so thats why the girl w/ the 3.9 didn't get in. units the same way.

and pharm experience idk, if that girl had hospital volunteer experience, i think she could have gotten in IF she had a BS and more units.

Yes, they do want well-rounded people. There is no set formula on how to get into pharmacy school. We can only give it our all in all aspects (academics, extracurriculars, etc) and hope for the best. 🙂 Adcoms seem to like active applicants. A person can be book smart. But it's better to have the knowledge and also be able to apply it with personal contact. Also, it's good to show that you can balance yourself and prioritize (i.e. taking a sufficient amount of units and still keeping up GPA and extracurriculars).
