Check returned, cancelled (Upstate)

I sent in my check in early November and my application status went to check received and I got an email saying I was complete and I was put on pre-interview hold. Yesterday my status changed to check returned, cancelled. Anyone have any ideas?

call Upstate tomorrow (if there is anyone at the office) and ask. Check your bank statement too.
