Checking Prereqs

How do the schools check their prereqs--is it off the transcripts sent to them or how PTCAS classifies them? For instance, some schools require humanities courses or social or behavioral science courses. Do these schools look at the transcript to see if courses there fit their requirement? PTCAS doesn't have a classification of "Humanities" and they took off a designation of Social/Behavioral Science off some of my Child Development classes?!!
