I've been reading posts and everyone is talking about the individual checks they've been sending to the schools. What are ya'll talking about? I sent in my AADSAS app. 8/22 and haven't been asked for any more checks (other than the AADSAS fee). Is that with a secondary app? Please let me know I'm just confused! Thanks!

Yes, its about to get even more expensive. Give it a month or so and expect to shell out anywhere between $30-75 more per school you applied to.

For each school you applied to, go to their webpage and check out the application instructions. I'm pretty sure just about every school has a separate fee they charge, anywhere from $45 to $75 or more. I'd check this out as soon as possible, since some schools expect you to send the check at the same time you submit your AADSAS. Don't just wait for them to tell you to send it, take the initiative. However, if the school says to wait until after you have been contacted, then you should wait.

$85 for USC!

Not all of the schools will ask you for the check. Some will expect you to just send it. If you log in to AADSAS and then click on the "Instructions" tab, you should see "Dental School Supplemental Information." There, it will tell you what each school wants and when it should be sent.

I would still double check each school's website. I've found that AADSAS' instructions aren't always the same as the schools.

isnt only $85 if your international? I only sent in $65 and they havent said a thing about it. Some guy over there even said I'd probably get an interview... Im not anywhere close to being that good of an applicant where they'd just let $20 slide. Hmmmm....

Yes, actually. I just rechecked and it was 65 bucks. my bad!

Application fee $85. Students requiring an I-20 for an F-1 student visa must submit $145 processing fee (send fee to: USC, School of Dentistry, File Number 12145-2, Los Angeles, CA 90074-2145)

Yea, USC charges 145 for international kids, almost 5 times as much as temple. 😡 I think they are one of the most, if not the most expensive schools when it comes to app. fees.
