Debating whether to double up my class schedule this Fall...

I am currently enrolled in Introductory Chemistry but would like to possibly add one more class so that I'm not still taking year round pre-reqs when I'm 40 (hehe which is 9 years from now!). My choice is either Intro Algebra (offered online) or Economics. I work a high-stress fulltime job, so I don't want to load my plate beyond do-ability, but would like you guys' opinion: Chem + math (to get the ball rolling) or Chem + Econ. Or just Chem?

If I were in your position where I could only take two classes a semester, I would try to knock out the classes that are in a progression, meaning classes like Chemistry I and then Chemistry 2, Biology I and Biology II, English I and English II, Precalculus Algebra, Precalculus Trigonometry. That way towards the end your not stressed out and you can breeze through the non-science classes without the hassle. Just my 2 cents...or 1 cent LOL

All I have left are math and science hehe. 😛 I have completed all of my Lib Arts with my current Bachelors. So, I guess I am in Hell for the time being?

Join the club, all I have left is science and math classes too because some were done in my degree and the rest I finished this summer LOL...I'm taking Organic I w/Lab, Biology II w/Lab and Calculus I this fall so I'm almost at the end of the tunnel.

retaking sociology and communication(got C's first time around) and taking Microbiology and Human Anatomy & Physiology II(both with labs) this fall. Need to take Calc, and depending if i dont get accepted to my top school(UH Hilo) before spring, Statistics and physics. So close to being done....

Wow, you will really have a full fall semester good luck with that LOL

haha yeah i know. This is the most amount of credits i have taken since my first semester of college 4 years ago. I feel that I need to take all these though to be on the right path for acceptance in 2009. I figure if i am accepted into midwestern, i need everything done by 5/09.

I did well in Human Anatomy & Phys I, so for HA & P II i am taking it online as well as sociology. That will make it tons easier or tons harder. Thanks. Your fall doesn't seem to be that much easier! I found O-chem I to be harder than O-chem II.

I know LOL, I get stressed just thinking about it. I'm also trying to stay on track to get in for Fall 2009. I have Org II w/lab, Physics I w/Lab and Microbiology next semester so I feel your pain.:scared:

Ha Ha. That blows. Have you taken Physics? Not sure whose spring semester looks worst... You gonna be done then after those 3?

Nope, this will be my first time taking Physics and yes I will be done after this thank you GOD LOL

what are your stats currently looking like?

I have an entire semesters worth of not so good grades from when I first started out in school. It's killin me. I hope I get into UH Hilo before January so I dont have to take physics or statistics. I am dreading those.

Yeah I feel you, the first three years of school I have HORRIBLE grades, mainly because I was in the reserve at the time and had to withdraw one whole semester. I left my original university and got my BS from another. I graduated with a 3.28. I can't tell you what my cumulative GPA is because I have over 200 credit hours. The school I'm applying to only does prerequisite GPA.

My prerequisite GPA so far is 3.5
My science/math GPA so far is 3.4
My science GPA so far is 3.5

I'm getting there slowly but surely LOL

Well I think you have fantastic grades. I'm jealous. You even have a BS degree. You win.

What schools did you want into?

Yeah, I thought UH HIlo only looked at Pre-req gpa as well cause they make you fill out a sheet with just those courses/grades. But their website says they calculate their GPA and use the course info from pharmcas. These schools make stuff really confusing.

I'm only applying to Xavier University because I don't want to leave New Orleans, just getting back settled since the hurricane LOL. I considered Creighton, but I don't think I'm a competitive applicant, plus I don't want to spend my free summers doing labs in Nebraska. I plan to take one class in my MS CIS progarm during summer breaks so I can receive my MS and my PharmD at the same time.

Your grades are great for a cumulative average. If I did a cumulative average my GPA would probably be around 2.9 LOL with all the classes that I have taken including the F's and W's LOL
