alright.
this semester is almost done for me..
and it looks like i'll be getting a B for chem 1
however.. my school only does grades like 79.5 to 89.5 = B
there is no b- or b+
so my question is will med schools recalculate into the gpa as a B+?

my second question is
chem 2
did you think it was easier then chem 1 or not lol..

I would guess no, but that is only a guess.

EDIT; to the 1st question that is.

Can't answer the second question because we only had one Gen Chem class, but the answer to the first is no. They won't get the percentages, just the letter.

hmm.. in that case i need to seriously do something to get me up to a A in that class -.- lol
and only 1 general chem class and in med school? how's that work lol

No, they won't change the grade. And no, gchem 2 is usually harder, not easier, than 1st sem as 2nd sem gchem is typically the more "difficult" concepts (such as equilibrium, acid-base, intro ochem, nuclear chem, intro pchem).

Biochem major, so I had more than enough chem classes to satisfy the pre-med requirements.

bah chem is going to blow my life =(
looks like im going to have to suplement a bunch of bio classes to get my sgpa to a 3.5 or so

It depends. I thought CHM 1 was easier than CHM 2, just because you need to know far fewer equations in CHM 1 (electrochem in CHM 2 gets a bit annoying), however, in terms of preparing you for the MCAT, CHM 2 will do way more. Pay attention in CHM2

question
are we going to do those stupid stupid bubble/flower vsper models in chem 2
because im doing those right now
and i honestly hate it..

Lol i'm doing those as well. After AP chem they're not as bad the second time around but definitely something I would prefer not doing. 😛

Looks like chem will take a ton of work....too bad I calc II and bio will too.

I don't know the answer to your first question but I found genchem 2 a little easier than the first one. And I found orgo easier than genchem...and its a lot of fun 🙂
