There's a Cliffs Notes book for general chemistry that is really simplified... I think it's more for high school chem but it's a good place to start. I think I got my copy for like 8 dollars @ barnes&nobles.
Go to amazon or something like that and search for chem help books. Read reviews for them, etc. This is prob the best way to find a book that will be helpful for you. GL
