So since I TA'd Orgo 1 and Orgo 2, I am only 1 class away from a Chemistry Minor. I am set to walk this May, and I have to take one more class over the summer.
If I choose to walk in May, and then delay my graduation to the winter, I can take a chemistry class and an elective in the Fall semester and pick up my minor in chemistry.
Is this worth it? My GPA is low as it is (3.06 currently with a strong upward trend). And I take my DAT's in April.

I have definitely heard a lot of people from my school asking a very similar question, even I debated it. I would say do anything to increase your grades, so I would definitely take some more courses to help boost your GPA. It really depends on your financial situation, if you are sound financially, go for it and delay graduation. If not, grab that diploma and work on that 1 class and the DAT. Either way, you are going to want a pretty high DAT score to help that GPA, but it's doable.

Its worth it. Delay your graduation. There's no point in graduating if you have nowhere to go afterwards. Stay behind and take more classes to increase your gpa.

I would say it depends if you plan on applying this coming summer or not. If you are and you think you have a good shot at getting I would not waist the time. But if you are not confident I would take some classes in fall. Not just the chem class but some other classes to boost your GPA.

But the question I have is do dental schools even care about minors. I have a psychology minor and most schools I have talked to said they honestly don't care. For example UW does not even care if I have a bachelors, UOP said it has no influence and so did ASDOH.

I have good LOR's, a decent upward trend, good extracurriculars. My GPA lacks, I plan on applying this upcoming June (taking the DAT's in April). Plan on graduating in the summer, just need to take 1 elective.
