I am starting on my classes this summer and fall/summer. Should I start with Bio or Chemistry? I could take sections 1 and 2 of either but not both over the summer. Then in fall I would plan on expanding into either subject. I guess either way would be fine but as a suggestion any ideas on a good course to follow?

your starting college in fall?

It depends on your major and pre-reqs. If you're a bio major, do bio. If chem, start w/ chem. I would personally go w/ bio, p. chem and inorganic is a PITA.

I think if you're a chem person, then go with chem. And if you're better with memorizing, go with bio. It's the summer so take a class which you're more comfortable with so you can do better.

I guess I should clarify. I am an undergraduate, non-science major. I have one semester of Bio that I did poorly on and will be re-taking at some point. I am going to be starting my prerequisites this summer and am hoping to have enough done to feel comfortable taking the DAT next spring/early summer. Here is my anticipated schedule as for the classes I need.

2010 Summer I
Chem I

Summer II
Chem II

Fall
Organic Chemistry I
Bio I

2011 Spring
Organic Chemistry II
Bio II

Take DAT

Summer I
Anatomy and Physiology I

Summer II
Anatomy and Physiology II

Apply to School Summer 2011, Start Summer 2012. Just a goal mind you but from everything I am reading so far it seems that I should be able to do it. I am pre-studying the classes so that should help and am a good self studier. If you see any holes or where I might change, let me know. I will be taking Physics I and II after applying to schools. Ideally I would like to go to UoP and am a non-traditional student.
