Hi guys...haven't posted in a long time. Hoping you guys can give me some advice. I took Chem I during the last summer session. I am registered to take Chem II, Organic I, and Bio I in the fall. (somehow my school let me sign up for both chem II and org I) ......... Do you think it will be ok to take chem II and org I in the same semester? 😕 Why or why not?

thanx hope you all have a great day! 🙂

Do you have plenty of time on your hands? It is possible, but I imagine you will need to be dedicated. With that being said, it's hard to tell without knowing more about you.

If you have pulled straight A's so far in your science classes, you could consider attempting such a loaded semester. Keep in mind however that when you apply schools will weigh you most by your gpa and your dat. They wont care if you attempted a heavy course load and tanked your gpa. There is no need to be in such a rush to finish school. Put some generals in your schedule or something. You are going to be in school for at least 8 years so if it takes an extra year to take lesser course loads and keep your gpa up then do it.

I graduated this past May with my Bachelor's degree. I just have to take these science pre-reqs before i can take the DAT and apply to dental school. Thank you all for your responses.

Do you work full time? I wouldn't do that if you have a full time job, but if you just work part time or don't have a job at all then I don't see a problem with it. Organic Chem is much more difficult then Gen. Chem in my opinion, but if you have the free time to study and keep up with the course then it shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you for responding. I work part time and that is why i was thinking about taking all 3 classes. I am thinking about dropping Bio and picking up Trig. So I may take Bio in the spring with organic II ( if i pass organic I).
