I took an "accelerated" general chemistry class, which was basically a combo of GC1 and GC2, it was 6 credits
I know i need 8 credits of non-organic chemistry, so would taking an additional chemistry class such as biochemistry 1, along with my other class suffice for the chem requirement?

Was it at a Jr college? Accelerated Chem classes are usually for allied health programs.

Universities Chem classes are usually 4 credits because they have a laboratory component. That is what D-school is looking for, not just random Chem credits.

I don't think they will take it, may be if you also took a year of P-Chem and Inorganic chem. but what do I know. Call up a few schools you are thinking of applying to and ask them. More likely than not they wont take it, because it was accelerated and because it was at a CC.

it doesn't matter at all that it was done at a cc, it would however matter that it wasn't a traditional gen chem 1 and 2.

I'm not bashing CC's at all. I went to one and loved it.

But just from experience, schools will accept CC classes if it meets their requirements, and if it isnt what they are use to they are afraid of change. If they took it at a 4 year, they might get away with it but since it was at a CC it might decrease their chance a little.

I completely agree, I just didn't understand what you meant the first time around
