you watching the world championships?

Carlsen is literally a computer. some of those Stockfish moves were ridiculous and Carlsen made most of them (except Kd2 obviously)

Yup, watching every game. That was unreal... double blunder with Kd2.. couldn't believe it. I don't think Anand will be able to come back from...

1900 player here. Trying to reach Master before I graduate undergrad but I do not have the time to compete or practice like I want to. Also I've hit a wall in my game. How did you make the jump past 2k? Im reading/working through Reasssess your Chess whenever I have free time/energy but I'm still hitting a wall.

I'm following the world championships, I love the youtube channel "SeanGgodley"

I play a little bit of blitz on chess.com , but I'm not USCF rated. I love the game but can't seem to break past an average rating (1200) on chess.com. Frustrating since I know I'm smart and I hate losing. I just don't have the time to devote to practice and study.

Reassess your Chess was probably one of the best books I have ever read. I suggest you finish reading that book seriously and tack on a tactics book. The book I used back in the day was "Combination Challenge". I would do 5-10 problems every night.

Also, I recommend playing some blitz online. ICC/Chess.com are good servers.

I know what you mean - it can be very frustrating. If you picked up a tactics book and did a few problems each night I'm sure you could reach 1500 on chess.com in no time. Or maybe try the tactics trainer on chess.com. I can't quite remember if that feature is free for non members. A good site for tactics however is chesstempo.com

You guys should check out the channel:

There is even a med student that occasionally streams his games with the other "chessbrahs" there.

Jerry is my favorite commentator! @Chessnetwork

a ~1800 rated club player here. Nothing special.
