Has anyone contacted any of the Chicago area schools concerning taking the pre-requisites at a community college? I see on U. of Chicago's website that they look down on this. On the website for U. of Illinois it says CC courses will not negatively impact an application, but I don't know if they are viewed as positively as courses at a four year university. Maybe I'm reading into that too much.

Anyway, just thought I would ask before contacting any schools to see what has already been found out in the past. Thanks!

I took all of my pre-reqs at CCs except for Organic, which I took at NIU. Thus far I have been accepted to U of Illinois and received an AWPA from SIU. I have not heard back from Rush, Loyola, or Northwestern. I was interviewed at RF.

U of Chicago quickly rejected me, but I would attribute this more to me not really fitting in with that school overall, since I have no research experience and have very little interest in academic medicine.

Overall, I honestly do not think CC classes negatively impact your application. If they do it would only be at the schools like U of Chicago, that are more research focused and, in my opinion, somewhat snooty.
