Does anyone know of any moonlighting in Chicago, for example, autopsies? I'd really like to make some extra money, but the only moonlighting opportunity at my program has already been snapped up by someone else.

Please PM me.

Thanks!

One more reason not to go into Path; while residents in other spec. can make $$$$ while moonlighting, moonlighting in pathology for all practical purposes is non-existent; and we, pathologists are to blame for this too; we don’t like grossing (soon PAs are going to ask to sign out small specimens like appendices, tonsils, etc), we don’t like autopsies, we are letting PhDs running our labs, and than wondering why there are no jobs around; Ephelis, can you please tell us what's that "moonlighting opportunity snapped up by someone else"?

Why do people on this message board take every opportunity to turn ANY conversation or question into a BITCH FEST about pathology? If all of you chronic complainers left the field, it might give more optimistic individuals an opportunity to make a difference. Bad gets you more bad. The guy asked about moonlighting opportunities. If you don't know about any, don't post. He did not ask for another thread for you to BITCH on.

Uh, thanks for not helping me AT ALL. I found a good opportunity, BTW.

WHAT? AN OPPORTUNITY? But the children of pathologists are going hungry on the streets while mom and dad wait in the unemployment lines.
