Could someone help me with the impressions of the Chicago programs?
I am trying to figure out which ones to rotate through based not on letters of rec, but rather where I might be a good fit.
I have heard U of C is very good and has a good research reputation. How about Loyola, Rush, and Northwestern? Do any of these favor private practice over research or vice versa? I have heard N'western and Rush are run by private clinicians. Does this mean teaching is worse, or research poor? Are they trying to train private practice clinicians over academics?
I would assume Loyola and U of Chicago has a strong emphasis on training those that want to pursue research and academics?
Thank you for any help someone can give me on these 4 programs.
