Anyone have any input on the different residencies in Chicago? I am really interested in the atmosphere within all the different programs including community based programs like Loyola and St Francis in Evanston. Any input in appreciated!!!!🙂

I went to Loyola for med school...Not that I make much of the "community" vs "univeristy" distinction but Loyola is NOT a community program. It is a major Chicago hospital (it just isn't downtown)--They have a huge Level I NICU and get a lot of maternal transports in from other hospitals. They have a large MFM staff as well as a very respected Urogyn department with a fellowship. There is also the Bernadin Cancer Center with Onc referrals. I don't know much about the program itself anymore as I am a few years out but it is definately an "Academic" program.

Hello there,

I'm looking for anyone to shed some light on the OB programs in Chicago. I was kinda impressed by Advocate Illinois Masonic and am very interested. I am also interested in Cook and Rush. I was trying to figure out how to do an away rotation at Cook, but have not been able to find the application. Anyone go through the process last year willing to add their 2cents?

Thanks!
