Hi,
I still don't know if I passed my adult boards but I figured I'd ask what people recommend for Child Psych? I will be starting my new job without any vacation time come July so I will have less time to study than I did when I took adult boards (we accrue vacation only based on hours work).

Board Vitals? Beat the Boards? Psychiatry Genius?

Do tell.

Thanks!

Bumping. Can somoene help answer this plz?

I did Board Vitals just to have some extra practice questions under my belt. If you have access to 5 (or more) years of PRITEs I actually think that is sufficient provided you did average or better on the adult boards, paid attention during fellowship, and have a quasi-decent knowledge of the field (that is, what people actually do and evaluate, less esoteric knowledge). The peds neuro was minimally painful, and this is coming from someone who knows zero medullary stroke syndromes. Material felt a smidge easier overall than adult boards.

If you feel like your training was bad, you retain information poorly, have failed PRITEs or boards in the past, well then I would buy every single thing out there and jam hard, it will definitely be worth it.

I did Beat the Boards as well as some question books. Beat the Boards was good as a general overview. I believe the question books I used were Henderson as well as the Lewis questions. That was on DSM-IV so not sure those are up to date.
