child stages and development...i hate this topic

i've looked at three different sources and they all have different things to know for each age...what source are you guys following and what is the best way to learn this stuff?

I'd just use FA for it. I took the BS shelf yesterday, and to cover my ass, I'll tell you there were no more than a dozen development questions on it, though as far as I can recall, there weren't more than a handful. At least one or two of them were about aging, too, not childhood development. I think you'll be just fine if you learn the big milestones like walking, stranger anxiety, toilet training, magical thinking, and whatnot. The rest of it should be pretty much common sense. (Why is this teenager defying his parents? Is he normal or an alcoholic?)

As you might imagine, neuopharm and mood and behavior disorders were huge. Those are much, much higher yield than development if Step 1 is proportioned anything like the shelf. Get the development biggies down, and move on.
