You forgot to include USC. There are going to be pros and cons to all schools always, and as I said in some other thread it always comes down to the basic: Personal Choice. 😀

Congrats once again to everyone that was accepted. And good luck for all of those that are waitlisted, there were many people with multiple acceptances, so keep your fingers crossed and think positive!

I'd go UOP. You're done in 3 years and your student experience will be much better.

unless u want to become a lab technician.... Well no offense UoP is a Greeaat school but do u really way to handle the stress of packing porcelain for your crowns and sintering them ?
If yes UoP is THE school for u .

UOP requests doing lab? UOP is going to train great general practioner while a GP doesn't need the skill of "packing porcelain". How many time will spend at this kind of lab during 2-year study?

How about UCSF? less hours in lab (such as packing porcelain) or none? Thanks

As far as I know, you do all the lab work in the first 2-3 quarters at UOP. But when you have patients, you send impressions to the lab. You don't make PFM yourself for your patients!🙂
At UCSF you never do the lab work at all.
Personally, I don't mind doing a lab work for 6 months. Why not, you see things from the perspective of a dental technician and next time when you prep your tooth on a crown you will know how much tissues to remove to make a space for all the layers of PFM...
