As far as I know, you do all the lab work in the first 2-3 quarters at UOP. But when you have patients, you send impressions to the lab. You don't make PFM yourself for your patients!🙂
At UCSF you never do the lab work at all.
Personally, I don't mind doing a lab work for 6 months. Why not, you see things from the perspective of a dental technician and next time when you prep your tooth on a crown you will know how much tissues to remove to make a space for all the layers of PFM...
