If you want to live your life pleasing your father go to medical school.

If you want to live your life making yourself happy go to pharmacy school if that's what makes you happy.

HAHAHA - You better remind him that life exists on a bell curve - you start out needing someone to change your diapers - and you end it needing the same help.

"I'm not proud of my son at all. He became a pharmacist. I brought him up wrong."

Talk about ridiculously high standards and/or expectations. Most parents in this country would be flipping proud for their children to be in a DOCTORAL program, no matter what kind. Half of the kids in this country still dont even go to college, so your dad needs a proper dosage of reality (no pun intended).

I thought about being a doctor for about, 5 minutes. I have the intelligence, and the grades to be a physician, and the motivation to be a damn good one. Problem? I just don't want to be a physician, it just doesn't catch my fancy.
