So, pick one, tell me why!

I can't make a decision. I am a NYS upstate resident. Help me out!

My current List:

1- Loyola : good- loved it, great students, in Chicago, facilities, clinical resources
bad- reputation not amazing, money?!, worth the move?

2- Stony Brook : good- low cost, large college resources

bad- location is isolated, students commute from homes, everyone from NYC or long island.

3- Tufts : better rep, HUGE cost?? worth it??

4- Penn State (isolated, cost, good facilities, chocolate?!, rural)
Albany (costly in tuition, but cheap living, rep not good, location boring)

Do a search on Loyola. Every thread that pops up will tell you why you should choose Loyola!

Stony Brook imho. It's the best state school in NY and it has a great rep despite what the USNEWs ranking list it as. Location is isolated but NYC is a 2 hour ride away via the LIRR.

You should visit the school for the second look weekend March 19. I am going to before I make decisions.

Stony Brook all the way!

Stony Brook easily! You're a NYS resident, can you really justify going to any of those more expensive schools when Stony Brook is just as good, if not better than any of them?

Definitely Stony Brook or Loyola. Save your money by going to Stony Brook, but I'm a BIG fan of that "gut feeling," and it sounds like your gut is telling you to go to Loyola. Intuition exists for a reason, and following it is probably the best way to ensure you remain happy for the next four years.

Loyola has awesome students, awesome facilties, awesome administration, an awesome gym, awesome clinical experiences, less than 15 hours a week in class, a very integrated curriculum, very happy students, and chicago as a backdrop...nice change of pace for a NYer who is use to a city but wants a little change. Their only downside is that they are soo far from downtown.

Thanks for the help guys, you are giving me a better feeling about this. Does anyone have any Good/Bad things to say about Tufts or Penn State?
