choosing a school

Does it really matter what dental school you go to if you get a pretty good education, learn the techniques, get good board scores. Patients won't really ask what school you went to. any thoughts on this???

It really does not matter which school one goes to.
Here are some reasons:
- For some, State schools are cheaper.
- For some, they want to stay near families and friends
- For some, they are tired of the area where they grew
up and experience something new
- For some, they want to go to get best clinical training or
research training or research along with clinical training.
- For some, they do not have much choice...they just barely get in.
- Am I missing anything?

going to the school which will prepare you for the region's boards that you want to practice in.. =)

As long as you can pass the boards, it really doesn't matter. Like vishal said, it basicly comes down to those things he listed.

I was unaware that there were different *gasp* regions! There are different exams for each region? 😳
