  1. Pre-Dental
Hey everyone!

I got accepted into all three of the Texas dental schools yesterday. I am torn between choosing which one I will want to attend because I like them all for different reasons. I was wondering if anyone had any current information about the schools that sets them apart from one another? Everything that I am reading on SDN seems like it is a few years old, and I know a lot has changed for each of the schools such as curriculums.

1. Choose which school is closer to you.
2. If you don't care about location, you should next look at clinic experience.... I'm not exactly sure how A&M and SA operate but Houston has its ups and downs
Hi! Thank you for the reply. What would you say Houston's ups and downs are? How did/do you enjoy your experience as a student at Houston? Would you choose there again if you could go back in time?

There's a lot to talk about with ups and downs... If I didn't know about how other schools operate, I would say I am very happy here at Houston. I would really look into what clinical experiences you gain while in dental school. For example, Midwestern-IL has a really good clinical program, they learn so much it's crazy. We are very productive here at Houston and we get to schedule our own patients which is good and bad depending on how you look at it. I believe A&M has their own coordinators schedule for them. I would choose to go back here, yes, but that's simply because I don't know how A&M and SA operate.

Yeah we do have patient coordinators assigned to each student which is pretty nice since we don’t have to call patients all the time to schedule them. But we also have our ups and downs.

Anybody attending a TX school willing to post a short pro and con list about their school?

Anyone have any opinions on San Antonio?

What would you say the ups and downs are? What do you think about the new curriculum that they will be implementing?
